Oakdale Community Garden

The Oakdale Community Garden is a continuing project as part of the Oakdale Garden Club. The objective for the Community Garden is to provide a space for the people of the community, to grow nutritious produce, and to provide educational opportunities that encourage gardening and community involvement.  The location next to the senior center and senior apartments allows seniors to walk or use scooters to get to their gardens.

The 40’x300’ strip of land leased from the City of Oakdale for $1 a year includes water which helps keep the fees much lower than other community gardens.  There is an outdoor meeting/educational area which provides space for the OGC to host informative and educational events for community members including school children.
